Toni M. Porter, CPA, is a partner of the firm and a member of the Ag, Tax, and the Estate & Gift departments.  She has been with the firm since 1978.  Toni’s family has been involved in dairy and farming since the early 1920’s, beginning with her grandparents who immigrated here from Holland.  She was raised on a dairy in Southern California but eventually moved to Northern California where her family grew almonds and started a custom feeding operation for dairy heifers.

 “When I moved to Fresno and formalized my accounting career, it was a natural transition to have agriculture as my specialization.”

 Her accounting experience includes 24 years of accounting for different facets of the ag industry, including raisin processing, dairy and livestock operations, trees and vines, cotton gins, field and row crops, and farm and ranch operations, to name a few.

She has successfully applied both her personal experience and extensive education to assist clients of the firm with some of their most critical needs, such as estate and gift tax returns, bankruptcy, and succession planning.  She is also very experienced in family-owned business exclusions for farm estates.

Toni is actively involved in the San Joaquin Agriculture Law Review Advisory Committee and has taught agriculture income tax courses at the San Joaquin College of Law.  She also donates her time to the United Cerebral Palsy Association as co-chairperson for their VIP campaign.
