Nancy S. Ervin, MBA, is a business consultant specializing in agriculture.  She joined the firm in 1999 after earning her Master of Business Administration degree from the University of San Diego with an emphasis in cost management.  She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from California State University, Stanislaus and an Associate’s degree in Agribusiness from Modesto Junior College.

Nancy was raised on a small family farm in Northern California and worked in both production and service ag businesses since 1984, including field and row crop accounting, livestock operations, and the grain industry.  She has served as the vice-president of the Nevada Cattlewomen’s Association as well as president of the Los Angeles Grain Exchange.

Since joining the firm, she has assisted ag clients with budget development, software transitions, cost analysis, strategic planning, and personnel issues.  Her expertise ranges from very complicated spreadsheet development to fundamental operational reviews.  In addition, she is currently seeking accreditation as a Certified Business Appraiser so that she can better assist clients with business valuations, whether it is for estate planning, gifting, divorce, purchase, sale or litigation.

My goal is to ‘fill in the gaps’ for our clients – in other words, provide assistance in areas they may not have expertise, so that they can concentrate on the daily issues of farming.”
